Newly promoted ACP Fitz Bailey vows to continue being professional
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Newly promoted Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) and Divisional Commander for Clarendon, Fitz Bailey, says he will continue on his path of always being professional and having respect for the people he is duty-bound to serve – the people of Jamaica.
“Naturally, at this time I am extremely happy with my promotion. It means a lot but even more important is for me to continue to be professional in all that I do and to honour my sacred pledge of serving the people of this country.
“I will always be transparent in all that I do on behalf of the JCF (Jamaica Constabulary Force) in whatever role I am given as well as to the people I am committed to serve.
“I must thank the men and women of the JCF, I have worked with over the years for their contribution to my development,” ACP Bailey told OBSERVER ONLINE shortly after his promotion was made public by the Police High Command.
ACP Bailey also thanked the leadership of the police force for the confidence they have in him and gave the commitment that he will work with the High Command in the organisation’s effort to eradicate crime in Jamaica.
“In reflecting on my promotion to the commissioned rank, I must thank my family for the many years of unselfish support they have given me, sometimes in very trying circumstances; without their support all this would not be possible,” ACP Bailey said.
