Mayor condemns photos of dead March Pen children on Internet
KINGSTON Mayor Angela Brown Burke on Tuesday condemned the circulation on the Internet of photographs of three children murdered in March Pen Road, Spanish Town, St Catherine last Sunday.
“It’s disturbing,” she said.
“I am asking them to stop it. I have had to delete them from WhatsApp several times,” Brown Burke said.
“We must draw a line in the sand at the level of cruelty and dog-heartedness [in the nation],” she said.
Brown Burke said that she would shortly be engaging Hear the Children’s Cry — a children’s advocacy group — and other organisations to see “how we can come together to make a difference [in dealing with issues concerning children]”.
