Champions League player of the matchday prediction

After the dreaded international break, Champions League football returns Tuesday afternoon for Matchday 3.

Club football will also see another great return and this time it is of Barcelona forward Lionel Messi. Messi had officially returned from injury to score in the third minute helping Barcelona to seal their 4-0 win over Deportivo La Coruna on the weekend.

There is no doubt Messi is hungry for some Champions League action and this is why he will be the player of the matchday. Barcelona plays Manchester City and it won’t come as a surprise when Messi helps Barcelona to cop some points. The match will be Claudio Bravo against Lionel Messi and promises to be exciting. Keep your eyes on Lionel Messi.
