Laura’s Farm to Table
The second annual Farm To Table: A Fusion of Food, Art & Goodwill, hosted by event organiser Laura Facey Cooper, charmed patrons into making the trek to Mount Plenty Organics Farm, last Sunday.

Laura’s Farm to Table

Yes, there was food, last Sunday: the artisanal kind à la Stush In The Bush, Sheriff Gourmet BBQ, Moon Palace Jamaica Grande, and Yardstyle to Gourmet. There were, too, garments, home linens and eco-conscious accessories, and abstract art that packed a wallop. This was the return of champion farmer Laura Facey Cooper’s pet project Farm To Table: A Fusion of Food, Art & Goodwill, which for a second year invited the smart set to the sculptor and philanthropist’s homestead, Mount Plenty Organics Farm, in Orange Hall, St Ann, to shop and collect in the name of charity. A narrower focus on the art saw Facey Cooper — the reluctant provocateur who gave Emancipation Park the jewel in its crown via the Redemption Song sculpture — unveiled an abstract exhibition carved from woods and featuring silhouettes that would find favour in the whimsical realm of anime. SO took it all in to issue this Sunday morning edit.
