AW fashion: Chrissy’s Coils

University of the West Indies (UWI) law student Christen Romans has always been known for her creative abilities. In 2013, she received a reel of aluminum, and with no formal training was able to design and create her first wearable piece: a ring. “When people began complimenting me on the jewellery I wore, that was when I got the confidence to actually get things started. I was really surprised that people liked them,” Romans told AW Fashion. Romans was initially reluctant to sell her pieces because of the sentimental value they held. However, two years later, she debuted her first line of jewellery, aptly labelled Chrissy’s Coils.

With each piece taking between 15 minutes to three days, depending on the design details, Chrissy’s Coils are affordable, with brass and aluminum pieces ranging from: rings $300-$1,500, ear cuffs $300-upward; earrings $700-upward; necklaces $800-upward; and custom crowns $2,000-upward. AW Fashion suggests you place your order before the crowd catches on at: christen.romans@yahoo.com
