Male nail tech nabbed at airport, expels 4 parcels of ganja
KINSTON, Jamaica — Police on Wednesday said they arrested a man after he arrived at the Norman Manley International Airport to check in on a flight destined for Barbados with about two pounds of ganja.
The accused — Andre Thomas, otherwise called ‘British’, a nail technician of Portsmouth, Portmore, St Catherine — was stopped by detectives, interviewed, and his luggage searched shortly after his arrival at the airport about 12:30 pm.
He subsequently expelled four cylindrical parcels containing ganja weighing about two pounds and was later arrested for possession of ganja, dealing in ganja and taking preparatory steps to export ganja, the police said.
Thomas is expected to be interviewed in the presence of his attorney and charged for the offences committed.
