Duhaney Park house damaged by fire
Fire on Wednesday damaged a four-bedroom house on Hopkins Avenue in Duhaney Park, resulting the 84-year-old male owner of the house having to seek shelter with a relative.
It was not clear what caused the fire, which also affected two of the man’s three tenants.
One resident said it appeared as if the fire started at the front of the house.
A tenant, who said he was not at home at the time of the fire, told the Jamaica Observer that his room was not badly damaged by the blaze. He said, however, that some of his belongings were damaged by water used by firefighters to battle the blaze.
