Caribbean Airline adjusts Fort Lauderdale flight schedules
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Caribbean Airlines, in extending condolences to the families affected by the shooting at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport in Florida this afternoon, says that the incident has affected scheduled flights.
As a result are the following:
• BW 480 of January 6 was diverted to Miami International Airport and all passengers were transported by ground.
• BW 3481 (which is the 481 of January 6) will depart Fort Lauderdale at 7:15 am, on January 7 and arrive at Piarco International Airport, Trinidad at 12.00 noon
• BW 036 (Fort Lauderdale/Kingston), of January 6, will operate on January 7 as BW 3036. The estimated departure time from Hollywood International Airport, Fort Lauderdale is 3:10 pm. The estimated arrival time at Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston, Jamaica is 4:50 pm.
The airline stated that customers booked on the above services are also being advised that no date change penalties will be applied.
“All Caribbean Airlines services to and from Hollywood International on January 7 will operate as per the regular scheduled times,” Caribbean Airlines stated.
At least five people were killed and nine wounded by a rampaging gunman at the Fort Lauderdale Airport Friday afternoon.
