Denham Town escapee recaptured in Cross Roads
KINGSTON, Jamaica – The police yesterday recaptured a prisoner who was on the run for nearly six months.
He is 23-year-old Theodore Lawrence otherwise called ‘Theo’, of Slipe Pen Road, Kingston who is facing a murder charge.
Reports are that about 5:15 pm, lawmen were on operation in Cross Roads, Kingston 5 when he was seen at a plaza in the area and arrested.
He was one of nine prisoners who escaped from lock-up at Denham Town Station on Sunday, September 18, 2016. The other eight were already recaptured.
Meanwhile, the police are appealing to anyone with information who can lead to the recapture of Kevin Thomas, 26, otherwise called ‘Tatan’ of McKenzie Drive, Tivoli Gardens to contact the Denham Town police at 948-6443, Crime Stop at 311 or 811, police 119 emergency number, or the nearest police station.
The police are also reminding the public that it is a criminal offence to harbour a fugitive.
