Stepping High winner to be announced today
Winners of the Stepping High Ganja Festival’s ganja competition will be announced today.
Lyndon Connell, founder of the event, said nine entrants from three parishes (Westmoreland, St Catherine and Clarendon) competed in four categories.
The categories are: Fragrance, Taste, Presentation, and THC Content. Winners will receive their trophies during a ceremony next week in Negril.
The 14th Stepping High Ganja Festival took place from March 4-5 at Cayenne Beach in Negril. Toots Hibbert, Kabaka Pyramid, Lutan Fyah, Samory-I and Fred Locks were some of the artistes who performed.
“It went great, we got a lotta favourable feedback. There were people from the university (The University of the West Indies) an’ tourists, so we are satisfied,” said Connell.
