Men held with gun after crashing while trying to flee cops

ST ANDREW, Jamaica — Two men are in police custody after being found with a Kahr 9mm pistol and six rounds of ammunition, despite an escape attempt in Kingston 13 yesterday.

Reports from the Hunts Bay police are that lawmen were on patrol on Nelson Road in the area about 10:00 pm when they saw two men on a motorcycle who arose their suspicion.

The men were signalled to stop, but the driver disobeyed and attempted to speed off. He, however, crashed into a nearby vehicle.

Both men were arrested. The police say their identities are being withheld pending further investigations.
