Bacchanal Jamaica ended its main season last Friday as the sixth event in its weekly Mas Camp series came to an energetic conclusion.

The company hopes to take that momentum to Grizzly’s Plantation in St Ann on Saturday for Beach J’Ouvert.

“This was our best night for the season, biggest crowd, best vibe. Just in all a great night!” Michael Ammar Jr, director — Bacchanal Jamaica, told the Jamaica Observer.

Headliner Ricardo Drue of Trinidad and Tobago helped create that vibe. His frenetic performance had fans rocking from start to finish, demanding that he make multiple appearances on stage.

They sang along to Drue’s hit songs Professional and ID, as well as other soca staples such as Machel Montano’s

Bottle of Rum, Leh Go from Blaxx, and Ricky T’s Freaky Girls.

“I think the crowd enjoyed the performance as much as I did,” Drue said.

“You could feel that from the start of the performance to the end; it was crazy.”

Barbadian star Fadda Fox followed with a solid set. He had patrons ‘ducking’ their ‘dirty habits’ at the end of the night, while Dei Musicale, DJ Franco, and the Frenchmen brand also contributed to a fun-filled evening.
