Bog Walk Gorge remains impassable
KINGSTON, Jamaica – The National Works Agency (NWA) said the Bog Walk Gorge in St Catherine remains impassable, however an assessment and cleaning of the roadway is now underway.
The NWA in a tweet this morning said that the public will be advised later as to a time and date of reopening.The gorge, which runs along the Rio Cobre in St Catherine, has been impassable since yesterday as flood rains lashed sections of the island. The roadway is usually inundated by water whenever there is heavy rainfall, causing the river to swell.
