$500k reward offered for info on British man’s murder
KINGSTON, Jamaica – A $500,000 reward is being offered for information on the January 2017 murder of a British citizen along the Storey Hill main road in Watermount, St Catherine.
According to Crime Stop, the victim — Shildon James, otherwise called John — was murdered Sunday, January 29 after he picked up two friends that evening while on his way to a party.Police reports are that he was making his way along the Storey Hill main road when he slowed down upon reaching a section of the roadway that was rough. A white car suddenly appeared on the right hand side of James’ car and shots were fired into the driver’s window hitting him several times, Crime Stop outlined.His two friends managed to manage to escape and hid in the bushes. The car sped off and residents alerted the police.James and his friends were subsequently taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead. His friends were treated and released.Crime Stop said the police have several theories on the murder but need help identifying the attacker. James, the police said, “was a well-liked fun loving person who did not appear to have any enemies”.The reward, which is being offered by Crime Stop and concerned citizens, is for information leading to the arrest and charge of the culprit(s).
