Reid to hold GSAT results press conference tomorrow
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Minister of Education, Youth and Information, Senator Ruel Reid, is to hold a press conference tomorrow at his ministry, to give a summary of the results of the 2017 Grade Six Achievement Test (GSAT).
Senator Reid made the confirmation at a post cabinet press briefing at Jamaica House this morning. He informed the media that the results are now completed and he will make a statement on them at the press conference to be held at the ministry’s National Heroes Circle location, starting at 3:00 pm.There was no indication, however, when the results would have been made available to the schools. Minister of State in the ministry, Floyd Green, said earlier this week that students who sat the exam would have the results by next week. Approximately 40,000 students took the exam in March.GSAT is for students at the primary level seeking to gain entrance to public secondary/ high schools.Balford Henry
