India make 190-6 from 20 overs
KINGSTON, Jamaica — West Indies require 191 for victory in the one-off Twenty20 contest, after India piled up 190-6 from their allotted overs here at Sabina Park on Sunday.
India led by a top score of 48 from Dinesh Karthik, who is playing his first T20 international since 2010, made good use of the batting conditions to post what will be a competitive total despite the presence of hard-hitting Jamaican Chris Gayle in the West Indies squad.
Captain Virat Kohli (39) and Rishabh Pant (38) in his second international T20 were the next best scorers for India. Jamaican pacer Jerome Taylor (2-31) and Kesrick Williams (2-42) were the best bowlers for the West Indies.
