The Independent Commission of Investigation (INDECOM) has launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding a shooting incident involving an off-duty police officer on Saturday along the Bernard Lodge main road in St Catherine, which left a senior cop’s daughter nursing gunshot wounds. The police, through its communication arm, the Corporate Communications Unit (CCU), is reporting that 449 guns and 7,899 rounds of ammunition have been seized across the island since January 01. Full story here

The young Sunshine Girls today won their match against Malaysia in the netball Youth World Cup underway in Gaborone, Botswana. The young Girls won 70-21. Full story here
