CAMBRIDGE, St James — Cambridge High and Hopewell High will return to the Inter Secondary Schools Sports Association/ Flow daCosta Cup football competition when the season gets underway on Saturday, September 9 after being away varying lengths of time away from the league
Both teams will play in Zone B and were included on a list of 89 schools that have indicated their interest in taking part in the competition, which will run for about three months and is expected to end early December.
Cambridge High are returning after they last played in the 2013 season, but Hopewell High will make their first appearance since the 2010 campaign, seven years ago.
Cambridge High had finished with four points after one win, scoring eight goals and conceding 28 in the process in the 2013 season. Hopewell High also won one game in their last foray into the competition.
They will both play alongside former champions Rusea’s High and Frome Technical, as well as Green Island High and Knockalva Technical.
Meanwhile Zones A, C and D will be unchanged from last year.
Defending champions and 12-time winner Cornwall College will lead Zone A that will also see Anchovy High, Green Pond High, Irwin High, Maldon High and St James High.
Zone C will have Cedric Titus, Herbert Morrison, Holland High, Muschett High, Spot Valley High and William Knibb Memorial High; while the teams in Zone D are Godfrey Stewart High, Grange Hill, Little London High, Mannings School, Maude McLeod, and Petersfield High.
