Cop killed in St James crash
ST JAMES, Jamaica— It has been reported that a police officer died from injuries he sustained in a motor vehicle collision on the Lilliput main road in St James last night.
Reports from the Montego Bay police are that 26-year-old Junior Morrison, who is from Mount Pleasant in St Andrew, was driving his Toyota Starlet motorcar towards Montego Bay when he crashed about 7:15 pm.
It is alleged that a BMW motorcar travelling in the opposite direction made a right turn into the path of the Starlet causing the collision.
Morrison was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Investigations continue.
