St Andrew SW residents should send strong signal with their votes
Dear Editor,
In a few days the People’s National Party will be on show again. Not for any good thing, but as an example to individuals that playing by the rules gets you nowhere in Jamaica most times.
Their executives have become a fully fledged laughingstock to all decent persons. It is my hope that democracy and natural justice will prevail for those used and abused citizens.
People who are fixated on their legacy train, even when its track is at an end, in a selfish move, are bent on holding on to what they claim to let go.
The ‘friend ting’ needs to stop. Soon the St Andrew South Western voters can put a stop to it once and for all. Let’s see if they will oblige or disappoint.
The day the people take back the power, hope, trust and confidence they repose in some of these politicians — who are less than deserving of it — is the day real change will come.
St Andrew South Western residents should turn out in their droves to send a clear message that they are not goods and chattel. They must make it clear that they cannot be bought, so they cannot be sold or transferred by anyone to anyone. Note, anyone!
Let your votes speak for you. If you do not stand up now and speak out, do not expect to be heard when injustice is happening to you again.
