ST ANDREW, Jamaica — Jamaica’s national Under-17 women will leave the island tonight for St Vincent and the Grenadines for the CONCACAF Caribbean Under-17 women football qualifiers.

A release from Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) yesterday said that the delegation will travel through Guyana and Trinidad before reaching St Vincent and the Grenadines on August 2.

Jamaica will play St Kitts and Nevis on August 4 and St Vincent and the Grenadines on August 6.

According to the JFF, the squad has three objectives, the first is to top their group, which is the only way to move on to the final stage of the Caribbean qualifiers.

Secondly, they start the journey to defend their title as Caribbean Under-17 Women’s Champion, won in 2015, and finally, they intend to continue the good results of current and recent national football teams.

The Senior Reggae Boyz reached the final of the 2017 CONCACAF Gold Cup, while the national Under-20 women topped their Group in the CONCACAF Caribbean Under-20 Women’s qualifiers and the Under-18 female beach footballers earned silver in the Commonwealth Youth Championship.
