Cops seize firearm after robbery attempt in Spanish Town

ST CATHERINE, Jamaica — Detectives assigned to the St Catherine North Police Division seized a firearm and four rounds of ammunition after a failed robbery attempt on Hartford Drive in Spanish Town, St Catherine this morning.

Reports are that about 8:45 am, two men entered a house and proceeded to rob the occupants; a struggle ensued and one of the robbers was shot and then disarmed while the other escaped.

A Smith and Wesson revolver with two rounds of ammunition was handed over to the police. One man was taken into custody in relation to the incident.

Investigations continue.
