TAJ’s online payment portal reopened
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Tax Administration of Jamaica (TAJ) reopened its online payment portal yesterday, following its suspension to facilitate maintenance last week.
In a release today, TAJ said new features have been added to the Revenue Administration Information System (RAiS).
The upgrade is said to enhance the user experience of taxpayers, with added security and ease of use for their convenience.
TAJ said taxpayers will notice a change in the appearance of the user interface, which is cleaner with reorganised information tiles.
Additionally, how the user interacts with several system options will also change, these include:
• Updated account window
• Updated payment window added:
The following new features have also been added:
• Account settings window
• Period window
• Manage payments and returns function
To facilitate a smooth transition, TAJ has developed a user guide with details of the changes, and which is available at www.jamaicatax.gov.jm under the “How To” tab.
Individuals may also get additional support through the Customer Care Centre at 1-888-829-4357, contacting their client relationship manager or visiting the Taxpayer Education Unit located in the Kingston, Constant Spring, Mandeville and Montego Bay Tax Offices.
