Exhilarate to atone in Terremoto
The Terremoto Trophy for two-year-old non-winners of two (five furlongs round) shares centre stage with the Nigel B Nunes Memorial Cup on tomorrow’s 11-race card at Caymanas Park.
Five are entered and their chances are analysed below.
DAD’S LUCK — An upset winner of last at 16-1 with a good run on effort, albeit in a relatively slow time of 1:02.2. If the going upfront is hot, Dad’s Luck is not without a chance of winning this one against his more celebrated peers.
CHUKKA BOY — Despite coming in with the tongue tie on, Chukka Boy as a maiden is not given much of a chance here. Chukka Boy will benefit from this outing.
NECROMANCER — Has played second fiddle to stablemate Nadeshico thus far in her career and that trend should continue tomorrow. The fact that jockey Wesley Henry has decided to ride Nadeshico lessens the chances of Necromancer.
NADESHICO — Was surprisingly beaten on last by importee Go Go Girl over four furlongs straight. Nadeshico welcomes back the hot and in-form, Wesley Henry in the saddle, which significantly boosts her chances of winning this trophy race. The one furlong extra should be right up Nadeshico’s street and she will play a significant role in the outcome of this race.
EXHILARATE — Was a late non-starter on August after behaving badly while being saddled. With those issues seemingly dealt with by trainer Philip Feany, Exhilarate now steps up now to five furlongs (round) after winning on debut (July 15) over three furlongs straight. If Exhilarate behaves, he has a glorious chance of making it two from two.
