Gunmen murder three in Clarendon
CLARENDON, Jamaica — Three men were last night murdered in separate incidents as gunmen continue to wreak havoc in Clarendon.
In the first incident, which took place at about 7:30 pm, Joseph Henry, 36, otherwise called ‘Hardball’ of Twin Palm Estate in the parish, was shot dead after he was pounced upon by armed assailants who opened gunfire hitting him multiple times at a business establishment.
The police were summoned and upon their arrival, he was seen with gunshot wounds.
Police said he was transported to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
A few hours later in Huntsden, two men were shot dead in a house.
According to police reports, 22-year-old Roshawn ‘Russian’ Simpson from Spanish Town, St Catherine and Clayon ‘Bounty’ Edith from Hunstden, Clarendon were in the house when armed men entered and shot them.
Figures from the police’s Statistics and Information Management Unit showed that between January 1, 2017 and August 12, 2017, 84 people from the parish were murdered.
