Windies 35-2 against England in 3rd Test
LONDON, United Kingdom (AFP) — West Indies were 35 for two after winning the toss on the first day of the third Test against England at Lord’s on Thursday.
Kieran Powell was 17 not out and Shai Hope eight not out after a rain-marred first session where only 20 overs were bowled.
James Anderson was just one wicket away from becoming the first England bowler to take 500 wickets in Tests after dismissing Kraigg Brathwaite and Kyle Hope for lunch figures of two for 18 in 10 overs.
The three-match series is level at 1-1.
