Gun recovered from Duppy Film belonged to licensed holder — FLA
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Firearm Licensing Authority (FLA) says one of the weapons found in the possession of wanted man Marlon ‘Duppy Film’ Perry is registered to a licensed firearm holder and that they are working with the police to locate the owner.
Duppy Film was last month killed by police in St Thomas and a number of firearms were reportedly recovered from him.
The FLA, in a release today, explained that one of its mandates is to implement several measures to make firearm holders and applicants accountable for the firearms and ammunition that they purchase.
The FLA said that it is encouraged by the pace of the investigation in the Duppy Film case, thus far, and expects that the matter will be sorted in the soonest possible time.
