Motor vehicle crash knocks out power in Westmoreland
KINGSTON, Jamaica — A motor vehicle crash in the vicinity of Paradise Park in Westmoreland has knocked out electricity in sections of the parish, the Jamaica Public Service (JPS) has reported.
According to the JPS, the crash resulted in three broken poles and damage to a section of the company’s power delivery system.
Power outages are being experienced in the following areas:
Paradise Park and surrounding areas; Ferris to White House and all roads leading off; Ferris to Whithorn and all roads leading off; Whithorn to Darliston and all roads leading off; Whithorn to Copse and all roads leading off; Dean’s Valley, Petersfield , Fort Williams and all roads leading off.
The repair and restoration is expected to take up to six hours, JPS said adding that every effort will be made to complete the repair in the shortest possible time.
