It’s that time again!
The Salvation Army got a shot in the arm yesterday when Scotiabank donated $1 million to kick off its 2017 Red Kettle Appeal during the launch at Scotia Centre in downtown Kingston. The Salvation Army, which is this year seeking to raise $16 million for this year’s Christmas Kettle Appeal, yesterday appealed to Jamaicans to actively get involved in the alleviation of poverty by doubling their contributions to the fund-raiser. The Salvation Army is aiming to assist approximately 12,000 families this Christmas and provide more than 3,000 Christmas food hampers for the needy.
