Lee transfers energy at JPS
Having shone brightly as a marketing and communications innovator and strategist at Jamaica Public Service (JPS) Co Ltd, Tishan Lee has now transfered her energy to the position of director, marketing strategy and economic development.
Lee joined JPS in August 2014 as head of marketing, charged with responsibilities including “crafting JPS’ brand architecture, strengthening the brand, promoting the company’s suite of products and services, market research and driving a marketing and sales culture”, according to a release.
In her new capacity she is empowered to drive product development in emerging energy markets, oversee research in and development of new utility business model strategies, manage key industry relationships and strategies relating to JPS’ largest customers, and support development of a renewable generation portfolio in line with to the Government of Jamaica’s energy plan.
Prior to JPS, Lee was manager of marketing programmes at Scotiabank Jamaica (2013–2014) and also worked at competing bank NCB.
Additionally, Lee is a director for Research & Strategy Solutions Ltd — a company that provides market intelligence, customer satisfaction surveys, mystery shopping, among other services, to corporate Jamaica. She also sits on the boards of the Jamaica Customer Service Association and NCB Employees Cooperative Credit Union.
A graduate of Queens College in Flushing, New York in the United States, Lee holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media Studies.
