Dear Editor,

What very sad news we heard that a 17-year-old youth allegedly stabbed a 40-year-old young woman to death just because she resisted him stealing her handbag. What a terrible and untimely death.

We have heard of many brutal killings similar to this being carried out by vicious, cold-hearted, and young criminals, who are targeting and terrorising people wherever they go.

Is there another country in this world that can be compared to Jamaica when it comes to stabbing and machete killings? Is there any other country in which you can find so many of the most wicked, dangerous and presumptuous knife-mongers and machete wielders? I don’t think so.

All the wicked-hearted youngsters going around slaughtering innocent people like animals should be sent to prison without being bailed. I am in total agreement with Prime Minister Andrew Holness and National Security Minister Robert Montague in their statement of wanting to put a stop to granting bail to those accused of murder. Too many innocent people are suffering.
