November Voters’ list published with over 1.9 million names
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Electoral Office of Jamaica (EOJ) says its November 30, 2017 voters’ list has been published with the names of 1,905,278 registered voters.
According to the EOJ, an additional 19,500 persons were added to the list while the names of 2,398 electors who are no longer eligible to vote were removed, including 1,469 dead electors.
The previous list was published on May 31, 2017 with 1,888,168 names.
Identification cards for voters added to the November 30 voters’ list are scheduled to become available by mid-December and should be collected by electors at their respective EOJ constituency office.
The ID cards, like all current Elector Registration ID cards, will be valid until December 31, 2019.
