Jamaican among missing fishermen found in Honduras
GEORGE TOWN, Cayman Islands (CMC) — Two fishermen who were reported missing at sea over a month ago, have been found in Honduras.
Missing at seaThe police report that the men – Thomas Owen Robert Bush, a Caymanian, and a Jamaican man – who has not been identified, had been missing since October 25.
According to the police, Bush and the Jamaican were found on the island of Guanaja in Honduras, having been rescued at sea.
While not revealing details of the ordeal, the police said both men were in good health.
The police say Bush was last seen on October 25 before going out to sea with the unidentified man in a 38-foot canoe.
The men were later reported missing on November 1, and vessels from the territory, along with the United States Coast Guard and ships in the area were alerted.
However, the men were rescued by a Honduran fishing vessel.
