THE National Water Commission (NWC) says its Logwood Treatment plant in Hanover will be shut down today and tomorrow to facilitate urgent maintenance work at the facility.

The NWC, in a press release yesterday, said customers in Hanover and Westmoreland who are served by this facility will experience a disruption in their water supply.

“The NWC is assuring these customers that the maintenance team will be working assiduously to complete the necessary work and restore water supply within the time specified,” the NWC said.

Areas to be affected include: Logwood, March Town, Cave Valley, Santoy, Orange Bay, Esher, Negril, Sheffield, Green Island, Salt Spring, Lucea, Elgin Town, Malcolm Heights, Haughton Court, Cauldwell, Pell River, First Hill, Archwell, Saxam, Bloody Bay, Negril West End, New Hope, Retreat, Nonpareil, Westland Mountain and surrounding areas.

“The NWC regrets any inconvenience this disruption may cause and urges customers to store water for use during the outlined period,” said the release.
