Expect rain in the West this weekend
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Meteorological Service says Jamaicans, especially those in the West, should expect some amount of rain this weekend.
This is due to a cold front across the Gulf of Mexico which is expected to move into the central Caribbean today and linger throughout the weekend, influencing weather conditions across the island.
Atmospheric conditions are therefore expected to become more unstable across Jamaica starting on Saturday morning, mainly across sections of Western parishes.
As a result, expect periods of light to moderate and at times heavy showers and thunderstorms to occur mainly across sections of Western parishes.
The Meteorological Service said it will continue to monitor the situation.
