The ‘Rebirth’ of Bacchanal Jamaica

Jamaica introduced a new theme and a new wardrobe of quilled costumes as it opened the 2018 season at its Mas Camp HQ, Saturday last. Under the banner Rebirth, 19 costumes — several of which were underwritten by event partner Frenchmen — were paraded across the stage and annotated on the mic by master of ceremonies Talia Soares. Saturday Social keeps company with Bacchanal Jamaica’s fine-feathered friends and potential masqueraders on the hunt for a Carnival Sunday road march ensemble for next April.
