UPDATE: Windies post 248-9 in first NZ ODI
WHANGAREI, New Zealand (AFP) — The West Indies made 248 for nine in the first one-day international against New Zealand at Cobham Oval in Whangarei on Wednesday.
Opening batsman Evin Lewis top-scored with 76 and Rovman Powell notched 59 late in the innings, while dangerman Chris Gayle failed to fire with 22.
Doug Bracewell was the pick of the New Zealand attack, taking four for 55, and spinner Todd Astle managed three for 33 on debut.
