5 arrested after police seize gun, ammo in Bull Bay

KINSTON, Jamaica — Five people are now in police custody after lawmen seized a firearm and several rounds of ammunition along the Bull Bay main road in St Andrew last night.

Reports are that a team was conducting a vehicular check point along the main road about 8:05 pm, when they signalled the driver of a white Toyota Hiace bus to stopped.

The vehicle along with the passengers were reportedly searched and a .45 pistol along with a magazine and eight .45 rounds of ammunition was found.

Police said the bus was also seized.
