Denham Town fugitive recaptured in Tivoli
A male prisoner who escaped from the Denham Town lock-up in September 2016 is back in police custody after he was found in Tivoli Gardens, Kingston, on Tuesday, the police reported yesterday.
He is 27-year-old Kevin Thomas, otherwise called ‘Tattan’ or ‘Tafari’, of McKenzie Drive, Tivoli Gardens, in the parish. He was charged with breaches of the Firearms Act.
Information received from the Kingston West Divisional Investigation Unit is that about 1:00 pm Tuesday Thomas was found under a bridge with his hands and feet bound. The police were alerted and he was taken to hospital for treatment and is now under police guard.
The police have again reminded the public that it is an offence to harbour a criminal, but commended members of the public who assisted with the recapturing of this fugitive.
