Jamaica No Problem, says Zumjay
ZUMJAY has been producing under his recently launched record label, Capcha Music Label, for the past year. One of his latest releases is Jamaica No Problem .
“This is a song that is talking about the beautiful, incredible warmth of Jamaicans, and the wonderful scenery and attractions of Jamaica that make it one of the top vacation destinations in the world,” Zumjay said.
Zumjay recently signed a distribution deal with US-based VPAL Music. He will also be releasing a video for the Jamaica No Problem project.
“The video captures the raw, natural beauty of the island and shows that we, as Jamaicans, have much to be thankful for despite whatever problems we may have. Jamaica is a wonderful place and whenever I come back here, it gets harder for me to leave each time… It’s an amazing country,” he said.
Zumjay migrated to the United States in 2007.
He grew up in the tough inner-city community of Waterhouse in Kingston and attended Kingston College, then Hydel High School in St Catherine. At age 18, he began working as an apprentice studio engineer for Donovan Germain’s Penthouse Records.
The deejay is currently in the island to ramp up the promotion of his projects.
He said he intends to make a positive contribution to dancehall music and inspire young people from the inner city to pursue their dreams.
“I hope that the government and the people will support this single and this project,” he said.
He recently performed at the annual Red Berry concert and shared stage with Dexta Daps at a show in Mount Vernon, New York.
