Mitch, Dalla Coin on top
Singer Mitch and deejay Dalla Coin recently topped the Jamaica Music Countdown with their collaboration Body of a Goddess .
Body of A Goddess was produced by Emperor Productions. It is the first number one song for Dalla Coin, while Mitch is no stranger to chart success, having topped charts previously as a member of the group ARP.
Commenting on the success of the song, Mitch expressed his gratitude to all who helped to make this possible and lauded the efforts of his management team, Emperor Productions, which he refers to as his “family”.
“I am really happy about this. Dalla Coin and myself are thankful to our family at Emperor Productions and, of course, big respect to the radio disc jocks, selectors and the on-the-street team who all played a vital role in pushing Body of a Goddess to the world,” said Mitch.
Both have commenced working on a follow-up single titled Goosebumps which has all the makings of becoming another hit. To date, the duo has recorded close to a dozen songs.
Born Roger Mitchell, Mitch has been doing a lot of solo work since ARP disbanded in the early 2000s, releasing singles and albums with producers in Jamaica and Denmark, where he had been working on an album project with Danish producers Soren “Pharfar” Schou and Adi “Jahdil” Nadri in Copenhagen.
His third album, Lucky, was released in November 2016 on Danish label, Icedrop Records.
Dalrick “Dalla Coin” McBean, who hails from Old Harbour, St Catherine, has been doing music professionally for the last six years. His first song was Don a Road, a collaboration with Dwayno. He also released Take Over, produced by ZJ Rush, which has helped him to break out musically.
