UPDATE: $7m loss in May Pen fire
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Police have reported an estimated loss of $7 million after fire destroyed a seven-bedroom house in May, Pen Clarendon this morning.
Detectives assigned to the Clarendon police are probing the circumstances surrounding the shooting and subsequent arson on Windsor Avenue in the parish.
Reports from the May Pen Police are that about 2:30 am residents who occupied a seven bedroom dwelling were awakened when armed men lit the house and then opened gunfire at them.
The police and the fire department were alerted and cooling down operations carried out.
The house was completely destroyed, however the occupants escaped unhurt.
