ATL ‘It’s A Mystery’ wins inaugural Kool Runnings Paintball League competition
NEGRIL, Westmoreland – ‘It’s A Mystery’ from ATL MoBay, won the inaugural staging of the Kool Runnings Adventure Park-staged Paintball League recently, beating ‘KD Dark Squad’ in the final.
Twenty-two teams registered for the league, which ran over four weeks at the Kool Runnings Adventure Park in Negril.
“The aim of our 2018 Sizzling Summer Paintball League was to provide networking opportunities for individuals within the surrounding areas and the wider community, as well as to foster team building and spirit,” explained Shelmar Bromfield, operations manager at Kool Runnings Adventure Park.
“The league is an inclusive, fun activity for families, friends, businesses and hoteliers, and is open to individuals 14 years-old and older.”
Bromfield said plans are already in high gear for the 2019 staging of the event, which, he said, promises to be bigger and better.
“We have a few additions in the pipeline but for now a ‘Top Shoota’ segment will be added. We will also be seeking additional sponsorship as well as partnering with other local paintball entities to make the league more inclusive,” he told the Jamaica Observer West.
He added that there are also plans to launch clubs across the island.
“Our directors are planning on making this big. It will be an annual event and should not be missed by any paintball enthusiast,” Bromfield stressed, as he congratulated ‘It’s A Mystery’ on their victory.
Registration for the 2019 Paintball League will begin on January 1, 2019.
