Weather forecast: More rain throughout today; severe thunderstorms possible
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Meteorological (Met) Service of Jamaica says showers and thunderstorms are expected to continue affecting the island for the next few days as an area of low pressure and associated trough slowly drift across the western Caribbean.
This morning, there should be mostly cloudy conditions across the island with periods of showers and possible thunderstorms across southern parishes.
Meanwhile, widespread showers and thunderstorms and gusty conditions are expected across the island this afternoon.
However, the Met Service warned that the possibility exists for isolated severe thunderstorms especially across southern parishes.
Tonight should be mostly cloudy with lingering showers across some southern parishes.
The maximum temperature expected for Kingston tonight is 28 degrees Celsius, while Montego Bay will be 29 degrees Celsius.
