Change for Peter Tosh awards

The second Peter Tosh Gala Awards, originally scheduled for Pulse Centre at Trafalgar Road on Thursday, has been moved to Eden Gardens (Lady Musgrave Road), according to a statement from organisers.

There was no reason given for the change in venue.

This event launches four days of events marking the singer/songwriter’s 74th birthday and legacy. The highlight of the evening will be handing out of the Equal Rights, Stepping Razor, Legalise It and Bush Doctor awards.

Tosh, a founding member of The Wailers, was killed in September 1987 at age 42.
