Central parishes intensify recruitment efforts for Mini Miss Jamaica Heritage Queen
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Following a successful debut staging in 2025, the central parishes of St Catherine, Manchester and St Elizabeth are intensifying efforts to make an even greater impact in the 2026 Mini Miss Jamaica Heritage Queen Pageant.
With anticipation building around the national competition, parishes across the island have begun actively recruiting contestants to select representatives who will wear their parish titles and compete for the coveted national crown.
The central parishes are particularly determined to stand out this year following a strong performance in the inaugural competition. In 2025, Alexia Jappa, the reigning Mini Miss St Elizabeth Heritage Queen, earned the Miss Congeniality title, bringing pride to her parish and showcasing the talent, confidence and charm emerging from the region.
Organisers say this year’s recruitment campaign aims to empower young girls while promoting Jamaican culture and heritage. The pageant also seeks to foster leadership skills, confidence and community involvement among participants.
The parish directors leading recruitment efforts are St Catherine — Chevelle Sudlow: 876-491-3949; St Elizabeth — Kadine Flynn Hamilton: 876-817-9742; and Manchester — Monyque Blake: 876-466-5659.
The Mini Miss Jamaica Heritage Queen Pageant continues to expand as a platform dedicated to highlighting the intelligence, cultural awareness and poise of Jamaica’s young ambassadors.
Parents and guardians interested in participation or audition details are encouraged to contact their respective parish directors for more information.
