DJ Freddie Kruger helps set the stage for T.I. and Tiny’s Jamaican vow renewal

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Veteran DJ and entertainment entrepreneur Freddie Kruger recently added another major celebrity event to the growing résumé of his company, Drop Di Bass Entertainment, after providing production and entertainment services for American rapper T.I. and his wife Tiny’s vow-renewal celebration in Jamaica two weeks ago.

Freddie Kruger said he was pleasantly surprised when he received a call from Caren Simpson-Kerr of SeaSalt Travel Jamaica regarding the booking.

Drop Di Bass was contracted to provide stage, lighting, an LED dance floor, sound and DJ services for the private celebration, which was held at the picturesque Kai Ki Villa in St Ann.

“It was definitely a great feeling to get the call and to be trusted to provide our services for an occasion like this,” Freddie Kruger said. “We always try to deliver at the highest level, whether it’s a major event or an intimate private celebration.”

The veteran DJ is no stranger to working with high-profile international clients.

Over the years, he has provided entertainment and production services for numerous private events, including weddings and anniversary celebrations, particularly along Jamaica’s north coast.

“I’ve done a lot of private events for high-profile clients, many of whom come from overseas. We’ve worked with Hollywood celebrities, award-winning music producers and popular sports stars, including famous NBA players,” he shared.

While Freddie Kruger is widely known for his work as a DJ, Drop Di Bass has steadily developed into a full-service entertainment and event-production company. What began with a recording studio and sound system in 1995 has expanded considerably over the years.

Freddie Kruger has also established himself as a music producer, working with several top reggae and dancehall artistes, including Sanchez, Lady Saw, Mykal Rose and Spragga Benz. His experience across music production, sound-system culture and event production has helped to shape the growth of Drop Di Bass Entertainment.

“We provide everything, including stage, lighting, sound and talent,” he said. “The aim is to give clients a complete entertainment package and make sure the production is professionally executed from start to finish.”

Freddie Kruger believes the T.I. and Tiny booking further demonstrates the opportunities available to Jamaican entertainment companies as the island continues to attract celebrities and other high-profile visitors for destination weddings, private celebrations and luxury events.

For him, it is also another milestone in Drop Di Bass Entertainment’s evolution from its sound-system roots into a company capable of handling the production demands of premium events.

“We’ve grown tremendously over the years, but the foundation has always been about providing quality entertainment and giving people an experience they will remember,” he said.
