Performance analysis for Saturday, November 17, 2018

RACE 1-$450,000-400,000 CLAIMING (THREE-YEAR-OLDS&UP) 1100METRES/5 ½ FURLONGS

Lady Jaela was fast away and on the bridle inside the first 50 metres. Sprinting clear around the bend to turn for home clear, Lady Jaela kept on very strongly to beat favourite Yolove by 3 ½ lengths.

RACE 2-$250,000-210,000 CLAIMING (THREE-YEAR-OLDS&UP) 1500METRES/7 1/2FURLONGS

The connections of Unbreakable were presented with a gift of the major slice of the purse and scored easily by all of 11 lengths from American-bred Supreme Authority.

RACE 3-OVERNIGHT ALLOWANCE NW1 (3YOS&UPWARDS) 1200METRES/6FURLONGS

Dragline was pursued to the top of the stretch by Dancing Queen, who took over approaching the distance with Storming, Princess Emanuelle and Bruce Wayne poised to strike. Princess Emanuelle quickened close home to beat the battling pair of Storming and Dancing Queen, who dead heated for second only a neck away.

RACE 4-$180,000 CLAIMING (3YOS&UPWARDS) 1300METRES/6 1/2FURLONGS

The betting suggested this was a match between Concur and Also Correct with the former prevailing by ¾ length. Vision Of Gold’s late effort was good for third, a further 1 ½ lengths away.

RACE 5-MAIDEN CONDITION (TWO-YEAR-OLDS) 1000METRES/5FURLONGS ROUND

The experienced Just Trick Me was rushed into the lead with Rojorn Di Pilot pressuring from early while Universal Boss was slowly out. Going to the front in the upper straight, Rojorn Di Pilot appeared to idle approaching the distance. Universal Boss, once realising what was required, ran well from the top of the stretch with no sign of greenness to beat Rojorn Di Pilot’s rally by 1 ½ lengths.

RACE 6-MAIDEN CONDITION (THREE-YEAR-OLDS) 1200METRES/6FURLONGS

Key Witness, Ashtrid, Best Advice and Acapella all held good positions to the top of the homestretch. Friendly Neighbour was not the best away but was ridden in earnest to go after the leaders. Taking the run on the inside, Friendly Neighbour got in front 200 metres out and beat Key Witness by 1 ¾ lengths.

RACE 7- RESTRICTED STAKES (3-YEAR-OLDS) 1820METRES/9FURLONGS&25YARDS

Favourite Graydon was in the lead 1000 metres out but under pressure from Harry’s Train with Anna Lisa last but one. Azaria challenged Graydon successfully for the lead entering the last 200 but could not stay ahead of Anna Lisa’s strong late finishing burst which took her a length and a quarter clear.

RACE 8-MAIDEN CONDITION (THREE-YEAR-OLDS) 1000METRES/5FURLONGS STRAIGHT

Parajet led on the bridle for 600 metres before dropping back tamely while Donald Trog and Sacrifice disputed the lead over the last 300 with the former finding much more in the final sprint for the wire.

RACE 9-RESTRICTED ALLOWANCE II (THREE-YEAR-OLDS) 1500METRES/7 1/2FURLONGS

Brandy was the first to show but gave way early to Bad Boy Trump in this match-up. Always going better, Bad Boy Trump toyed with Brandy but had to be strongly persuaded in the last 200 metres to score by a length and a half with Luminous Power some 11 lengths back in third.

RACE 10-RESTRICTED ALLOWANCE IV (4YOS&UP/NW3) 1400METRES/7FURLONGS

Ten Carats went clear leaving the 800-metre mark and had all except the winner in trouble at this point. Turning for home well on top and clear entering the last 200 metres, the eight-month lay-off took its toll on Ten Carats and she failed by 1 1/2 lengths to hold the strong finish of Night Light.
