Campari Pop Style finals tonight
CAMPARI Pop Style, Jamaica’s most stylish party series, will bring the curtains down for its 2018 season tonight at Skateland in Half-Way-Tree, St Andrew.
The occasion will see the most stylish male and female walking away with $250,000 in cash and bragging rights as Jamaica’s Most Stylish.
The entertainment package includes Up Top Boss, Teejay, as well as DJ Nicco and Bishop Escobar.
The resident judges are Desha-Gaye “Desha Ravers” Davis and Orville “Tony Krash” Lewis, while the evening’s host is Miss Kitty.
With a $250,000 prize purse at stake, Tony Krash shared what he will be looking for from the finalists.
“I will be looking for creativity in fabric choices and layering. Confidence is also key and swagger is a must. The Campari Pop Style grand finale should be taken seriously, so get popping!” he said.
Desha Ravers shared similar sentiments, with creativity being the deciding factor.
“I am looking for a whole lot of creativity. I’m looking for something new: I don’t want people to say because Fashion Barber did this or that, they can come crazy, no. Be creative, be yourself — always — and come Pop Style!,” she added.
Individuals interested in being Jamaica’s Most Stylish during the Campari Pop Style finals are asked to come out early to be selected, as only one female and one male from Saturday’s staging will join the finalists.
Finalists are Kingston’s Juven Dunn and Steven Morgan St Elizabeth’s Paula-Kaye White and Gilgameesh; and Old Harbour’s Mikayla Salmon and Jovanni Lancaster. Earning a second chance to ‘pop’ their style are wildcards Paskelle Cooper and Kevin Danville.
