LOVE FOR SANDALS

Prime Minister Andrew Holness (second right) and Gordon “Butch” Stewart (right), chairman of Sandals Resorts International, oblige Sandals guests Paul and Sara Thager with a photo opportunity yesterday at a luncheon hosted by Stewart at Sandals Montego Bay in, St James. In his address to the gathering, Holness quoted Sara as telling him on his arrival: “You have to stop using ‘yeah mon’ (the popular tourist saying) and start saying ‘yeah womon’ to represent the new times.” The couple from Woodlands, Texas, say they chose Sandals because “it’s just the best’ and “we love the people here”. Sandals was voted World’s Best Resort this year by the annually held World Travel Awards. (Photo: Joseph Wellington)
